Lilly Springer

I’m a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in economics at the University of Kansas. My PhD has been supported by the Madison and Lila Self Graduate Fellowship.

My research interests lie at the intersection of health, family, and labor economics. Specifically, I am interested in topics surrounding:

• Reproductive health

• Social safety net participation

• Parents' labor market participation

Beyond my research, I am passionate about peer mentorship and diversifying the field of economics. 

In Fall 2026, I will be joining American University as an Assistant Professor in the departments of economics and health studies.
